Stewed Fruit
The perfect warming topping for your morning bowl of porridge during the winter months! This recipe makes your kitchen smell amazing and is a great way to increase fruit intake for picky eaters. Serve over porridge and yoghurt for an easy, delicious meal. Keeping the skin on the fruit will provide extra fibre.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 apples
- 1 pear
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
METHOD:
1. Place all ingredients into a saucepan
2. Bring to boil
3. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until fruit is soft
4. Serve warm & enjoy!
Place any leftovers into a glass jar and it will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days
