Healing soup recipe

Both your Naturopath and your Grandmother will tell you that soup has healing powers. This soup recipe is ideal to make up in a big batch and enjoy throughout the week. Not only is it simple to make and easy to heat up and serve, it’s packed full of natural, healing ingredients that can support your recovery from a common cold or more serious condition.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 cup shitake mushrooms
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 bulb garlic
  • 2.5cm piece ginger
  • 2.5cm piece turmeric root
  • 8 cups water Preparation

METHOD:

  1. Gentle boil in a large pot, turn down to low heat and simmer for 1 hr.
  2. Strain and sip for a healthy soup.
