Apple Crumble
- 4 apples, cored and quartered (I used pink lady)
- 4 medjool dates, seeds removed
Crumble Ingredients
- 1 heaped cup of walnuts
- 50 grams of unsalted butter chopped into small pieces or coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celcius or 350 degrees fahrenheit
- Pulse the crumble ingredients in your blender or food processor and pulse until you have a nice crumbly mix, you do not want flour. Be sure to leave some chunky bits, you want plenty of texture. Place this mixture in a bowl.
- Place the apples and dates in your food processor or blender and pulse until finely chopped. Once again you do not want a puree although it doesn’t matter at all if this is what you end up with.
- Pour the mixture into your baking dish, top with the crumble mixture, bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until nicely golden. Enjoy!!!
