Apple Crumble

  • 4 apples, cored and quartered (I used pink lady)
  • 4 medjool dates, seeds removed

Crumble Ingredients

  • 1 heaped cup of walnuts
  • 50 grams of unsalted butter chopped into small pieces or coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celcius or 350 degrees fahrenheit
  1. Pulse the crumble ingredients in your blender or food processor and pulse until you have a nice crumbly mix, you do not want flour. Be sure to leave some chunky bits, you want plenty of texture. Place this mixture in a bowl.
  2. Place the apples and dates in your food processor or blender and pulse until finely chopped. Once again you do not want a puree although it doesn’t matter at all if this is what you end up with.
  3. Pour the mixture into your baking dish, top with the crumble mixture, bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until nicely golden. Enjoy!!!
