Breakfast Bar Slice
These bars are super yummy and are packed with fantastic proteins and all the good carbs. For a nut free alternative swap out the pecans and replace them with a mix of sunflower seeds and pepitas.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/4 cup of pecans
- 1 cup of fine desiccated coconut
- 1 1/2 cup of dry pitted dates
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- pich of salt
METHOD:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees
- Line a rectangular or square baking tray with baking paper
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smoothish- you want to keep some texture
- Press mixture evenly into your baking tray
- Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned
- Let cool and cut into squares
- Store in an air tight container
