About Krystle

Krystle Alves is a Naturopath, Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner with eighteen years in clinical practice — much of it spent with people other practitioners had run out of answers for.

New patients save $50 on their first consultation with Krystle — limited time only.

Krystle works with fatigue, burnout and complex presentations that don’t resolve on a standard protocol: the woman whose bloods come back “normal,” whose HRT helped for six weeks, whose exhaustion has been explained away as stress, motherhood, or age — the woman who has been told, repeatedly and kindly, that there’s nothing more to look at.

Her approach is nervous-system-first and investigation-led: functional pathology, genetic analysis, and a detailed reconstruction of how a person actually arrived here. Fatigue is a symptom, not a diagnosis. The work is finding what’s driving it.

She knows the terrain from both sides. Krystle lived with chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis and IBS through years of being told her results were unremarkable while her world got smaller. That experience shaped how she practises: thorough, specific, and unwilling to accept “within range” as an answer.

She is now moving through perimenopause herself, and holds a clear view of what this decade is. Aging accelerates here — this isn’t a phase to endure quietly, it’s a hinge. What happens now shapes cardiovascular, metabolic, bone and cognitive health for the next twenty to forty years. Existing depletions that were tolerable at thirty-five stop being tolerable, and symptoms that would once have been investigated start getting attributed to hormones and left alone.

That’s the real problem, in Krystle’s view. Perimenopause has become the bin — once you’re over forty, everything goes in it, and the looking stops. Thyroid, iron, B12, blood sugar, sleep, autoimmunity: all of it capable of producing exactly the picture you’ve been told is hormonal. Her position is that perimenopause is a reason to investigate more carefully, not less. This is not the time to cross your fingers and hope.
