Bedtime Chai

Perfect for these colder nights! This blend of herbs and spices will warm you up and help you nod off.
Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 1

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 heaped teaspoons of chamomile tea
  • 1 teaspoon of valerian root (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey or sweetner of choice (optional)
  • ¾ cup of milk alternative (rice or almond work particularly well)
  • ¼ – ½ cup of filtered water (depending on how creamy you want it)
  • Pinch of ground turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves

METHOD:

1. Bring water and herbs to the boil over heat until it becomes concentrated (depends on how strong you like your tea)
2. Add milk and heat until warm
3. Add spices
4. Strain & serve – add honey to taste
